📣 Ping (instant toast notification with a loud, distinct alert tone)

Sends an instant on-screen notification to one user or to everyone currently on the site. It uses its own louder, longer alert tone (not the login-confirmation sound) so it actually gets noticed, and shows who it's from — no full-screen takeover, no ticker change, just a quick attention-getter.

⏸ Pause Activity (site-wide, no logout, resumable)

Pausing freezes activity across every connected user. Nobody is logged out and no progress is lost — when you Resume, everyone continues exactly where they left off.

Locking immediately signs every user out and blocks the page entirely until an administrator unlocks it again. This requires Batch ID + password confirmation before it takes effect.
